House of the DragonApparently the season finale is coming in Game of Thrones‘ footprints, leaked onto the internet a few days before it was supposed to air. In a statement given to IGN and VarietyHBO says it is “disappointed that this illegal action has disrupted the viewing experience for loyal fans of the show” and is “aggressively tracking and removing these copies from the Internet.”
For fans, this could mean spoilers floating around on social media – although a colleague watching the show tells me this isn’t necessarily something new, as it’s carved out pretty close to the source material, George RR Martin’s Fire and Blood. Still, it’s easier to avoid one Game of Thrones wiki someone who is tweeting about something happening on the show, so stay on your toes if you want to go fresh into the episode.
Season one of House of the Dragon is set to shut down on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET. You can watch it on HBO or (legally) stream it on HBO Max – hopefully it won’t be unwatchable dark like some of the previous ones were.
