Hitman players who are about to be abandoned by Stadia can transfer their progress
Ahead of Google Stadia’s impending shutdown, assassin developer IO Interactive has detailed how Stadia players can take their progress with them Hitman – World of Murder to other platforms. Players can make a one-time transfer, which IO calls Interactive the Stadia progress transferto one of the platforms where hitman 3 is available, including PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
IO Interactive expects to launch the transfer tool a week before Stadia shuts down on January 18, but you can prepare now by linking your Stadia account to your IOI account. If you don’t do this before Google shuts down the Stadia servers, IO Interactive will warn that you won’t be able to transfer your progress. You have until February 17 to start the transfer.
When you transfer your progress, “your player profile, XP, suits, items, and mastery levels all transfer,” says IO Interactive, as does the “majority” of your Stadia achievements. Some Stadia exclusives won’t carry over initially, but IO Interactive plans to release them to all players in the future.
