Who is Emily Roeske?
Emily Roeske is a former American actress. She is probably best known for her role as Sophie Piper – one of the main characters in the Disney Channel TV movie franchise “Halloweentown” (1998), and sequels such as “Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge” released in 2001, and “Halloweentown High released in 2004.
Emily’s Early Life
Emily Mary Roeske was born under the zodiac sign Cancer on the 15e July 1991, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, and besides being an American national, she is also of white ethnicity. She was born in the family of James Paul Roeske Sr. and his wife Ellie Roeske, and has an older brother James Paul Roeske II, who made a name for himself as a former child actor and as a karate instructor.
The data about Roeskes educational background, however, have never been made public to this day.
Acting career
Emily delved into the world of acting while still a kid at just six years old when she made her on-camera acting debut playing the main character of Alicia in Don Henry’s 1997 movie titled “Fell’s Redeemer”.
In the following year, she appeared briefly as a little karate girl in the critically “booed” 1998 humorous action-adventure film starring Hulk Hogan – “3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain” – in which her brother James appeared as well. However, in the spotlight, young Emily came in the following year, when she was cast in the role of Sophie Piper in the TV fantasy adventure family movie “Halloween town“. Sophie discovers she comes from a “family of witches” and is “dragged” into the world that is the exact opposite of the one we know, referred to as “The Mortal World” by the citizens of Halloweentown, a home of a huge number of fantasy creatures such as ghosts, werewolves, warlocks and vampires, zombies and mummies. The film received great reception from the general public and has also been ranked No. 9 on “The 25 Best Disney Channel Original Movies” list published by Complex Magazine.

1999, young Emily Rosse guest-starred on one of the most popular TV medical drama series ever – NBC’s “ER”, appearing in the first episode of the show’s sixth season, titled “Leave It to Weaver”.
After the success of the first film, in 2001 at the age of 10, Roeske reprized the role of Sophie Piper in the first sequel of the “Halloweentown’s” movie saga – the TV movie “Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge”. In this adventure, the Piper trio seeks out a notorious warlock named Kal, played by Daniel Kountz, and retrieve a precious stolen spellbook from their grandmother.
In 2004, Emily appeared in the third installment of this movie series – “Halloweentown High” – which continues to follow the adventures of the aforementioned trio during their high school years. Intended to be the final film of the franchise, this engagement was Emily Roeske’s last on-camera acting gig.
At the age of 13, after only a few years of acting, Roeske retired acting and led herself to a career in martial arts, eventually becoming a third-degree black belt holder in Freestyle Karate.
Along with her brother James Paul Roeske II, Emily currently owns and operates a Freestyle Karate and mixed martial arts school – Suprise Family Karate – in Surprize, Arizona.
Private life
Since retiring from acting, Roeske has devoted herself entirely to karate and running her martial arts school, in addition to competing in various martial arts. tournaments.
Although she keeps her private life quite secretive and far from the watchful eye of the mass media, it is publicly acknowledged that Emily is a married woman as of April 2013.
With her husband Mitch Chapman, she welcomed one child to date – daughter Evie Marie born in April 2016.
Almost every year, Emily along with several other cast members from the “Halloweentown” movie franchise join the Ghost of Halloweentownan annual festival celebration that takes place in October in St. Helens, Oregon.
