Golf startup Zonely is launching its first event to make golf fun, accessible and social for everyone

Association of Professional Golfers (PGA) Champion Kel Nagle‘s granddaughter, Alicia Nagle, launched her startup, Zonely, to make golf fun, accessible and social for all players.

Founder Nagle said that with Zonely she wants to change golf’s bad brand image for golfers and people who want to try to become golfers.

Zonely is a golf community with a difference. Built on inclusion, friendliness and respect, it empowers all golfers, from beginners to experts, to have fun, get active, socialize and meet new people.

And now the golf community start-up is first event will be held in Sydney at Long Reef Golf Club in Collaroy this weekend, March 11, from 2.30pm, with tickets for sale.

“Tomorrow is the first Zonely golf event of many! It is held on Sydney’s beautiful Northern Beaches. We have a variety of golfers of different skill levels, ages and genders, which is exactly what Zonely is all about; welcoming everyone to the beautiful inclusive golf community called Zonely! Zonely means finding your zone, your people, your community and having fun,” Nagle said.

“Zonely is a marketplace for connecting with active friends, not boring dates!”

Nail received a grant from the Australian Sports Commission through their Women Leaders In Sport initiative.

“The course was incredibly valuable! I am immensely grateful to the ASC for providing these types of programs and funding and making a real difference to the development of women leaders in sport,” she said.

The first phase of the Zonely vision is to connect like-minded golfers and find available times at golf locations.

Not only will this help build community connections and activities, but it will also help optimize the golf supply in locations such as golf courses and driving ranges.

With so many people taking up golf as a hobby during the pandemic, Zonely will help players get the most out of the money, time and equipment they’ve invested by providing a platform to connect, pay and play.
