Everywhere Apple thinks you’ll use its $3,500 Vision Pro headset
The first bar has been cleared – critics agree that the $3,499 Apple Vision Pro is a great tech demo. But is it a new computing paradigm with limitless possibilities? That is not rather the impression I got from the company’s marketing, which has remarkably strong ideas about where and when you’d use this technology.
Let’s see, shall we?
You can use the Vision Pro:
Sitting on a comfortable sofa staring into the void where a TV could have been…
Or in a nice chair…
Or a horrible airplane seat…
Or standing still in front of a horizontal plane…
Or lay flat.
You can take a few steps, as long as it’s in the direction of a panoramic screen…
Or to grab something very quickly…
Before returning to your place.
Feel free to dance in your place.
Once you’ve found your station, get some work done!
But you’re probably going to shut out the world and watch TV instead. Right?
The Vision Pro is popcorn friendly, you see.
Don’t worry about annoying interruptions…
If kids or colleagues bother you, just stare at them like that. Love will shine through.
Besides, when it comes to family, you can always sit in a dark room all alone with your memories…
…like the father in Minority Report.
Don’t forget to capture those precious moments with your headset!
You wouldn’t want to miss anything.
