Demon Slayer Season 2 faces censorship from China in a recent broadcast of the series’ recently concluded Entertainment District Arc.
Tengen Uzui’s wife helped unveil a new layer of the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui. The formidable Demon Slayer Corps member became vital in the fight against the demonic siblings known as Daki and Gyutaro in Demon Slayer Season 2.
However, it appears that the television series has been censored in China. This is particularly with regard to Tengen’s women’s wardrobe.
The Demon Slayer Chinese censorship is real
Tengen’s three wives are Suma, Hinatsuru, and Makio, with one of the key parts of the Demon Slayer Corps’ mission in the Entertainment District Arc.
The Sound Hashira had to recruit Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke to help him save them from a terrible fate. Tengen’s partners may not be as powerful as he is, but they were allowed to show off their talents. They were able to help when they were freed from their strange prison and assisted the members of the Demon Slayer Corps in one of the toughest confrontations yet.
The three women also showed a lot of skin. As such, the Chinese broadcast made some changes to Tengen Uzui’s wives, who assisted in retrieving their husbands during the battle against Gyutaro. Tengen lost both an eye and an arm in the fight.

However, there are examples of false censorship by Demon Slayer. For example Twitter channel Shonenleaks released supposedly censored images of Demon Slayer that were actually a fan-edited version.

Ufotable continues to work on the famous anime adaptation of the Demon Slayer manga, which has already been completed in Weekly Shonen Jump.

Thankfully, the third set of episodes has been confirmed to be in the works. After the conclusion of the second season, it was reported that the series will return with a full adaptation of the next arc of the series, Demon Slayer Season 3: Swordsmith Village Arc, which draws even more Hashira into the story completely.
As part of the anime’s third anniversary celebrations, Demon Slayer presented the first teaser for the Swordsmith Village arc. The arc not only goes back to past events, but also teases what’s to come! You can see it in full below:
The final scenes of the second season indicate that the Upper Ranks are about to make their move. With one of the Upper Moons completely defeated, things would continue from there.
The third season of the anime kicks off what could be called the second half of the show as a whole, so there are plenty of reasons to be excited about what’s to come. At the time of writing, no exact release date or timetable has been specified.
