CommBank and Telstra team up to tackle phone scams
“People often ask me why Telstra can’t do more to protect against phone scams, and this is an example of how we’re doing just that: innovatively partnering with CBA to take action that stops this criminal activity in its tracks,” said Brady.
“Cybersecurity and tackling the problem of scams is a team effort and we must do everything we can to stop the flow of these criminal activities. Part of this should include organizations working together in this way to share knowledge and insights and work together to develop solutions that can better protect our customers.”
CommBank has also introduced NameCheck technology for money transfers and new caller verification through the CommBank app.
After further testing to prove its effectiveness, Scam Indicator will be made available by CBA to joint CBA and Telstra customers later this year.
