Early life, education, family, personal life
Brill Garrett was born Brill Aldridge on December 8, 1965 in Illinois, USA. She graduated from Central High School in Hinsdale, Illinois in 1984. Garrett grew up with her parents and brother Jeff Aldridge. She continued her education at Princeton University where she met her husband.
They took the same geology class in freshman year. She noticed that while they had lab once a week, he left the lab before the other students. So she approached him and asked him why. He told her he was training baseball. And that’s how it all started. Brill and Jason received a bachelor’s degree in the same year, 1988.
Garrett also holds a law degree from Harvard University and has worked as a literacy advocate.
Both were focused on their education and career before getting married.
So they were together for 10 years and finally became husband and wife in 1994. They tied the knot in a private, small ceremony with closest friends and family members. Jason was playing for Miami Dolphins at the time.
The couple currently lives in Dallas, Texas. They have no children.

His father Jim Garrett was a coach, football player and scout. Jason has seven siblings. His brothers Judd and John also played American football. He attended college in Hunting Valley, Ohio, where he played football, baseball, and basketball. Jason started playing quarterback at Princeton University, where he received his bachelor’s degree a few years later.
He started his career in 1989 as a New Orleans Saints scout.
Two years later, he played in the San Antonio Riders at quarterback, but suffered an injury. In 1992, he signed as a free agent for the Dallas Cowboys.
However, the focus on Garrett’s career was in 1994, when he replaced quarterback Rodney Peete in the Thanksgiving Day game. A year later he was promoted to backup position. In 2008, ESPN named this game the fourth best moment in Texas Stadium history.
Garrett was on the Super Bowl winning teams in 1993 and 1995.
In the following years, he signed for New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In 2004, Garrett retired as a player and began his career as a quarterback coach with the Miami Dolphins. In 2007, he signed a contract as offensive coordinator with Dallas Cowboys and three years later became head coach of the same team. Earlier this year, his contract with the Dallas Cowboys was not renewed. He now works as an offensive coordinator for The New York Giants.
When his wife Brill was asked in an interview to differentiate between a player’s wife and a coach’s wife, she explained, “I hope to bring that experience of being a player’s wife to us today.” team can bring, so that we have that bridge and we have that connection and that bond between all of our women, that we really are all on the same team. And so we have such a great group of women right now and I hope that message always gets through when we win and when we have adversity.”
In 1997, the couple founded the Jason Garrett Starfish Charities foundation. Their idea was to help young talents in high school and college play sports and perfect their skills through training so that they are better prepared for scholarships. Promoting reading was the second goal of the foundation, which organized book clubs at the Gabe Allen School.
Brill Garrett is a passionate reader who believes in the power of educated people. In 2018, she hosted a Reading event in Dallas with former First Lady Laura Bush. It was a success, as it supported 140 literacy programs.
Prior to this event, Garrett emphasized the importance of reading and its impact on personal and professional life in a radio interview. The event was traditionally hosted by the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. Garrett is also a member of the Cowboys Wives Association.
Brill and Jason Garett have been married for over 25 years. Her net worth is unknown but her husband earned $25 million as a player. His five-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys was $30 million with an annual salary of $6 million.
