Early life and education
Brendan spent part of his early life in Ottawa where he was raised as an only child by his father, who was a truck driver, and his mother, who was a nurse. He attended a local high school in Ottawa, where he was a member of the school’s drama club, and acted in most of the plays there.
After matriculation and with the encouragement of his parents and teachers, he moved to London, Ontario where he enrolled at Fanshawe College and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting. He then moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, where he studied acting at the Lyric School of Acting and graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in theatre.
