Early life and education

Ben was raised in Queens by his father, who was a factory worker, and his mother, who was a nurse – an uncle who dealt in drugs and was sent to prison when Ben was 15.

Ben’s family was quite poor and sometimes they couldn’t afford to pay the rent as well as put food on the table.

Because of this, Ben became interested in making money, and he became a con artist, cheating people of money at the age of 14. So Ben spent his spare time learning about the real estate industry, and after he finished the military, he started working at Wilton’s Marwil Investments, where he was responsible for the management, purchase and sale of properties.

After making enough money, Ben started working for himself, looking for abandoned properties or properties in poor condition, and would renovate them before selling them for a profit.

His first big investment was when he bought a building for $9 million, later sold it for $12 million, and made most of his wealth in 2012 when the market was perfect for selling his remodeled properties – it is believed that he earned more than $70. million that year. Ben’s wife Karla Nila came to the US alone from Mexico at the age of seven to live with her grandparents. When she was 14, Ben, who was 34 at the time, bought their building and gave Karla’s grandfather a job as the building’s maintenance manager.
