“Barnwood Builders” Season 15 will be released on Magnolia
Mark Bowe returns with another season of Barnwood Builders to transform the look of dilapidated cabins and barns. Season 15 of Magnolia airs Thursday, February 23 at 9 p.m. ET. Viewers can watch the episode on Fubo, Apple TV, and Discovery+ one day after it airs on television. Mark Bowe will be featured in the first episode of Barnwood Builders, called Legendary Log Houses, as he builds a custom log guest house in Dandridge, amidst the highlands of the Great Smoky Mountains.
Magnolia’s series description reads:
“Mark Bowe and his team of West Virginia carpenters restore old barns and cottages before the wood deteriorates in this series. Their goal is to breathe new life into old buildings. One of his ventures is demolishing an old log cabin in West Virginia, restoring and reconstructing it for a Tennessee collector.
Mark will also visit one of the country’s most iconic residences in the program. Meanwhile, Gatlinburg’s candy store is transformed by painter Johnny Jett.
Barnwood Living was founded by Barnwood Builders presenter Mark Bowe.
Mark Bowe, 53, is from Glasgow, West Virginia, and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration while working as a coal miner at West Virginia University. He then earned a master’s degree in security management from the College of Commerce at West Virginia University. His wife Cindy and son Atticus live in Lewisburg. Mark is known as a craftsman, historian, businessman and Barnwood Builders presenter. In 1995, he founded his own remodeling company, Antique Cabins & Barns. The organization’s name was eventually changed to Barnwood Living, and it has transformed the construction of 500 pioneer-era cottages.
He wants to celebrate the “craft of America’s pioneer ancestors” and preserve their hard work for future generations. Through his official website, fans can also hire him for motivational readings. Bowe also owns an insurance company and was previously a member of the city council.
Bowe told Greenbrier Valley in an interview that he intended to improve people’s perception of West Virginia:
“I’d like to challenge the idea of ’hillbilly’. The network wouldn’t allow us to use it for the first season, but after that truckers would deliver to us while proudly identifying themselves as hillbillies. The network eventually came around. I believe that it refers to strong ties to family and friends, a determination to work hard, and qualities such as endurance and courage.”
He enjoys kayaking, canoeing, fishing, camping, throwing axes and playing tomahawk. His 2013 Ted Talk, The Front Porch, is currently available on YouTube and has over 17,000 views. Johnny Jet, Sherman Thompson, Tim Rose and Graham Ferguson are among his teammates.

Bowe describes his passion for his craft as follows:
“If you’re not having fun with what you’re doing, you should do something else.”
Barnwood Builders airs every Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on the Magnolia Network.
