Attack On Titan Episode 87 Final in Spring 2022

The release date of Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 12 has been postponed to April 3, 2022, the start of the Spring 2022 anime season.
The last episode of Attack On Titan Season 4 is also known as Attack On Titan Episode 87 (Shingeki no Kyojin Episode 87) in the general timeline, or Attack On Titan Season 4 Episode 28. Part 1 had a total of 16 episodes and that is Already confirmed AoT S4 Part 2 only has 12 episodes.
This announcement means that no episodes of Attack On Titan: Final Season will be streamed or broadcast on TV on March 27, 2022.
The cause is not the creation of production problems at Studio MAPPA or anything like that. Fortunately, AoT fans don’t have to wait months for a cliffhanger like 86 anime fans wait for 86 season 2, episodes 11 and 12.
Instead, TV channel NHK announced that the release date of Attack On Titan Episode 87 was postponed due to special programming that conflicted with the TV schedule on March 27, 2022.
Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 9 release date has changed too
There has also been some shuffling regarding the release date of Attack On Titan Episode 84.
Attack On Titan Season 4, Part 2, Episode 9 will still be released on Sunday, March 6, 2022, but the TV broadcast will be delayed by 10 minutes to 24:15 JST. That’s effectively 15 minutes past midnight on March 7, 2022.
It is uncertain whether this minor change will affect the streaming release schedule for FUNimation or Crunchyroll. Typically, new Attack On Titan episodes in the US and Canada begin streaming as a Simulcast on Sundays at 3:45 PM EST (5:45 AM JST).
While Crunchyroll and FUNimation have not made any official announcements regarding this issue, the time difference will likely mean there will be no change for the international audience watching the episode.
Dub viewers will have to wait a few more weeks for the English-language dubbed version to catch up. FUNimation’s Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 English dub release date was 13 Feb 2022. New dubbed episodes are released weekly as a Simultub†
Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 3 or AoT: The Rumbling movie possible?
Rumors have been circulating since it was officially confirmed that part 2 would only have 12 episodes. Part 1 took 16 episodes to adapt 26 manga chapters and ended in Chapter 116, meaning there were 23 more chapters before the manga ended in Attack On Titan Chapter 139.
While some believe Part 2 will finish the whole story, others believe Studio MAPPA purposely leaves an opening for an Attack On Titan: The Rumbling movie. After all, the anime production committee would like to match the amazing box office success of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train and Jujutsu Kaizen 0.

The other option is to wrap up the story with an Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 3 Anime TV Series. But that option depends on where in the manga story Attack On Titan Episode 87 leaves anime fans hanging.
Attack On Titan Episode 82 (Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 7) is officially named after Chapter 125: Sunset. That leaves only five episodes to customize about 14 chapters.
If Attack On Titan Episode 87 matches Chapter 130: The Dawn of Humanity, then the remaining 9 chapters seem way too long for a movie, but it would fit perfectly for a short, single-court TV finale. On the other hand, Chapter 131 is called The Rumbling, so it’s possible that an Attack On Titan movie: The Rumbling could also be split into multiple parts.
We’ll just have to wait until the release date of Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 2 Episode 12 to see how it ends. Stay tuned!
