Applications for the Catalysr Migrant Scholarships will close soon

catalystthe Western Sydney startup incubator for migrant entrepreneurs, known as migrapreneurs, is in the final days of applications for its 2023 fellowship program.

The startup accelerator helps migrants and refugees build businesses that contribute to Australia’s economic success.

Applications are open and close next Wednesday 29 March.

The 10-week program is designed for budding migrant entrepreneurs who are toying with an idea or just want to familiarize themselves with the startup ecosystem.

The fellowship is not only for those who want to start their own startup, but also for migrants who want to work on an early stage startup.

So if you know or are a refugee or migrant eager to enter the startup ecosystem as an employee or founder, apply online here.

The program will see participants learn learn the basics of starting and running a business in Australia and connect with Catalysr’s network of alumni, mentors and industry professionals.

Catalysr founder Usman Iftikhar says the fellowship is a first step for migrants and refugees who want to enter and navigate Australia’s startup ecosystem.

“It is also a lifelong community where migrants and refugees can access skills, knowledge, mentoring and networking to launch their own startup, find co-founders or get a job with other startups in Australia,” he said.

In 2022, more than 100 migrants participated in the pre-accelerator program; this year the program has been renewed and made more exciting.

Catalysr’s community includes more than 1,200 professionals, advisors, and investors.

Since Catalysr was founded in 2016, they have helped more than 750 migrants set up more than 200 businesses, including the standout results of last year’s program – health technology Diagnoseclimate technology Manta ray and AI powered platform Mazal AI.
