Apple’s $799 M1 MacBook Air is still easy to recommend
Despite Apple’s M1 MacBook Air laptop is well over two years old, we still highly recommend it, especially if stores like it Best Buy drops the price to $799.99 ($200 off the original price Apple is still selling it for). You probably won’t find a faster, more compact and better designed machine for that money. Despite being on the lowest rung and the oldest of Apple’s M1 and M2 silicon, don’t count it out. In our review, we were impressed with the fast performance on most tasks and the surprisingly long battery life. That was November 2020, but we still think you’ll be impressed now. Read our review.
This is far from the first time this deal has come up (honestly, I’ve lost count), but if you’re looking for a MacBook that needs to be light, semi-affordable, and fast, this might just be the fit for you. Power users may need more than the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, but this configuration should suffice for most people doing mundane things like multitasking in a browser.
However, you’re not alone if you’re a little concerned about refurbished TVs. Woot supports these units with a 90-day limited warrantyand Woot staff says that the renovation was done by a third party, not Amazon or LG. But for more assurance, you can go to Amazon to buy one Asurion protection plan.
You can still get a huge discount on digital copies of War god RagnarOk for the PlayStation 5, if CDKeys sells it for just $47.99. Considering you’d have to pay $69.99 to get the game through Sony’s PlayStation Store, this is a great deal. You will receive a code in your email that you must activate via your PS5. If you have the 2018 God of war title, check that out first to get to grips with the surprisingly good mythological story.
My colleague Ash Parrish loved this sequel, and so did I. The gameplay may be similar, but RagnarOk offers larger landscapes and more collectibles, if that’s your thing.
