Apple could soon open its first physical stores in India
Apple has already started hiring its unannounced stores in India, as first reported by The Financial Times. The companies recent vacancies showcasing new job openings for 12 retail positions in “various locations” across the country, including store leaders, senior managers, Genius Bar associates and more.
The job postings, which include both full-time and part-time positions, link directly to the Apple Store, although there is no indication of how many positions are available. According to The Financial TimesAt least five employees in Mumbai and New Dehli shared on LinkedIn that they have already been hired for the upcoming stores, while Apple’s head of recruiting in India, Renu Sevanthi, “celebrated” the news of their hiring in a post to the network.
This follows with a July 2022 report The Economic Times, indicating that Apple plans to open a 22,000-square-foot store in Mumbai early this year. The company is also reportedly working on a 10,000-12,000 square foot store in New Dehli along with several other stores in the country, but it is unclear when they will open their doors. Apple did not immediately respond The edgerequest for comment.
