Andrew Garcia, a well-known Dominican-Mexican artist, died on April 4 at the age of 81. He died of liver cirrhosis or severe liver fibrosis. Garcia had been ill for some time. His wife Margarita Portillo was by his side at their home in Acapulco at the time of his death.
