Acting career
In 2019, Pandey made her foray into the acting world and made her debut in “Student of the Year 2” in which she teamed up with Tara Sutaria and Tiger Shroff. The film is a sequel to the 2012 film “Student of the Year”, which follows the life of a college student who attends a better college to rekindle the love of a childhood sweetheart, before finally deciding to return to his former university. The film received mostly negative reviews and was pannedonly earn a little bit at the box office.
Despite the negative reviews, many critics praised Ananya’s acting ability, which was noted as a far cry from the poor script, story and other performances in the film. Her career took off and she was next cast in the movie “Pati Patni Aur Who” along with Bhumi Pednekar and Kartik Aaryan which was later released in 2019. The movie is a remake and the original was released in 1978. In the movie, she plays a secretary who gets involved in an affair with a married man. The film was commercially successful and remained so to build on her reputation.
Recent projects and other endeavors
In 2020, Pandey made a special cameo appearance in the movie “Angrezi Medium”, a comedy film starring Irrfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

A spiritual successor to ‘Hindi Medium’, the film tells the story of a father and daughter who go on an unusual adventure as he tries to fulfill her dream of studying in London. She is also working on the movie “Khaali Peeli”, a romantic action movie in which she will appear alongside Ishaan Khatter. The film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat in an antagonistic role; the film will be released at the end of 2020.
Besides acting, Ananya helped launch an initiative called So Positive, which aims to bring people together in a conscious effort to make social media a more positive place. Chunky Pandey aspired to be an actor at a young age, first working as an instructor before eventually pursuing a career in the profession. In 1987, he got success and appeared in several Hindi films like ‘Aag Hi Aag’, ‘Paap Ki Duniya’ and ‘Tezaab’ which helped increase his stock but after some mixed success in the field as the lead actor of Na several movies, he took a long break from acting because he didn’t find a role that would suit him. After that, he started appearing in numerous Bengali films and got very few opportunities in Bollywood.
