Alexander Michael Cowper-Smith is a British banker and former financier of investment company Goldman Sachs, born 1 October 1981 in the United Kingdom. He is known to the public as the ex-husband of actress Alice Eve.
Early life and education
There isn’t much information about Alex Cowper-Smith’s early life, family, or primary education. However, he is known to come from an economically privileged background as he attended the prestigious Westminster School, from which he graduated in 2000. He then went to the University of Nottingham, graduating in 2003 with a degree in Business and Finance.
After graduation, Alex was immediately hired by Goldman Sachs as an associate. He worked his way up to a higher and more privileged position and became a financier of the company a few years later. Goldman Sachs is a global company that provides financial services to governments and other businesses. In his job as a financier, Cowper-Smith managed the money from investments and acquisitions on behalf of the company. In 2016, Alex resigned from Goldman Sachs for personal reasons. Alex currently works as a director at Pearman Partners Limited.
Alex has participated as a voluntary fundraiser for charitable organizations.
In 2008, he took part in a charity event for the British Red Cross and added the comment past a photo of a scar on his leg: ‘LOOK MY BONE! Relationships: Alice Eve
Alex’s only publicly known relationship is with actress Alice Eve.
The British actress is known for her roles in several successful films such as the comedy “She’s Out of My League” and “Sex and the City 2” both in 2010, “Star Trek Into Darkness” in 2011 and “Men in Black 3” in 2012.
Alex and Alice met in their teens when they both attended Westminster School. They started a romantic relationship, but it was short-lived as they split up after their matriculation exam to attend different universities.

Engagement and Marriage: 2014

In the same interview, Alex said that Alice was the love of his life: ‘I didn’t expect it to happen, but somehow it always seemed like we were destined to be together. When we got back together it was like we had never been apart. I feel so lucky to have her back. I loved her from the moment I met her.”
Alex maintained a good relationship with Alice’s family and stated that they were always kind to him in his teenage years.

In an effort to spend more time with his wife, Alex made the decision in 2016 to quit his job at Goldman Sachs and move in with Alice in the US. However, the couple’s attempts to maintain their relationship were futile, as Alice was reportedly seen in November 2016 (Daily mail) without her wedding ring, sparking divorce rumors. In 2017, they officially filed for divorce.
