Dominic Gutierrez was born on April 5, 1997 in San Diego, California, USA; he is the son of Rey Mysterio Jr. and his wife Angie, and has a younger sister, Aaliyah, born in 2001.

He was introduced to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) at a young age, when he was placed in the middle of the fight between his father Rey and wrestler Eddie Guerrero at the age of eight. He was a part of Rey’s storylines for most of 2019, even getting involved in a match between Mysterio and Brock Lesnar, WWE Champion at the time, held at Survivor Series. Clinging to his father’s fame, Dominic once again appeared alongside his father, this time as Rey battled Seth Rollins, Murphy, and Austin Theory.

His father lost an eye in the “Eye for an Eye” match at the Horror Show at Extreme Rules on July 19, 2020, and young Dominic came to father’s aid and charged Rollins, but he was unsuccessful and was saved by Aleister Black , his father’s ally.

Following this, Dominic challenged Seth Rollins to a fight at SummerSlam, and during the acceptance speech, Dominic attacked Rollins and his teammate Murphy, kick them out of the ring and hit them with the kendo stick. However, a week later, Rollins and Murphy returned the favor to Gutierrez and beat him with kendo sticks, hitting him more than 30 times, which has left some marks on his body, but Dominic stood up to the beating heroically and did not try to leave the ring.
