Lance Reddick is one of those Hollywood stars who want to keep their personal lives separate from the glamor and glare. The actor makes sure not to reveal too much about his wife and family. However, his fans are sometimes informed about his life with his current wife, Stephanie Diane Day, through his social media posts.
Lance Reddick’s relationship with his wife Stephanie
In June 2011, Reddick married Stephanie. The couple exchanged their vows in front of close friends and family during an intimate ceremony in Minneapolis. Bar Lucrat hosted both the wedding ceremony and reception. They met ten years before their marriage in 1999 when he starred at the Guthrie Theatre. They had been dating for almost 10 years before getting married. The couple have no children as of 2022.
While Diane has kept her personal life quiet, she has often supported her husband at various red carpet events in Hollywood. On the other hand, the actor constantly expresses his gratitude to his wife. On Valentine’s Day 2020, he shared a black and white photo of the couple, writing, “Happy Valentine’s Day to my favorite partner in crime!!” He uploaded another photo of himself and his wife aboard a plane in November 2021. According to his post, the couple were heading to the East Coast for some quality time with the family.
Lance Reddick’s first wife dies
Reddick was previously married to Suzanne Yvonne Louis, a senior jewelry designer at Avon Products. They married in 1986 and had their daughter, Christopher. However, the couple’s marriage did not last long. There is no information as to why they broke up, but Louis moved on to her second husband and gave birth to her second daughter, Kaiya.
Sadly, she passed away in November 2011. Her memorial ceremony took place in Brooklyn, New York on November 19, 2011. To this day, The Lost star has a great bond with his daughter and posts photos of her on his Instagram account on a regular basis.
Lance Reddick’s daughter urged him to keep making music
In a November 2019 interview with GQ, Reddick claimed that his daughter encouraged him to return to music. He had always loved music but chose not to pursue it after joining the acting world. Reddick paced the house for five or six years after graduating from drama school, singing the songs he had composed. His daughter heard him sing and said, “You really should do something with that, Dad.” “Ah, it’s too late, I’m getting too old for that and now I’m an actor,” I replied. She quickly replied, “I don’t know Dad, seems like an excuse,” and walked away. The experience undoubtedly changed Reddick’s outlook as he continued to write songs and release an album.
