40 agrifood tech startups, one event: this is why AgriFutures evokeAG. is a must for Australian investors and founders

After a two-year hiatus, Asia Pacific’s premier agri-food tech event is back and bigger than ever.

This February AgriFutures evokeᴬᴳ⋅ Down to Earth brings together leading global thinkers and local innovators to connect, collaborate and rewrite the future of agri-food technology.

Over two dynamic days (February 21 & 22), farmers, founders, researchers, investors and more will gather at the Adelaide Convention Center to discuss food, agriculture and the most innovative solutions to our planet’s biggest problems.

With a diverse array of back-to-back panel discussions, workshops, networking opportunities, exhibitions and Startup Alley, evokeᴬᴳ⋅ has curated a lineup of the brightest minds in agri-food technology today. Covering everything from increasing sustainability in agriculture and food production to the latest technologies in biosecurity and synthetic biology, the event’s program promises to give startup founders and potential investors plenty to think about.

Here are just some of the highlights:

Pitch the future

Taking place on February 20, the eve of evokeᴬᴳ⋅ 2023, The Investor Pitch Dinner gives five Australian and New Zealand agri-food startups ready to invest the chance to pitch to a room full of local and global investors. The 2023 participants are:

  • Eighth Day Foods, a Victorian alternative protein company that produces lupine-based protein LURPREME;
  • Geora, a New South Wales-based startup using data to unlock sustainable agribusiness;
  • LYRO Robotics, Queensland’s first robotics company to focus on post-harvest packaging of fresh fruits and vegetables;
  • Nanobubble Agritech, a New Zealand startup with an agritech system that could revolutionize conventional irrigation;
  • And The Leaf Protein Company, a Victoria-based company determined to solve the lack of biodiversity in the plant-based protein ingredients market.
